Description:
The 7.3 Tow Package is the go-to mild upgrade to bring your 7.3 up to modern day power levels! This proven setup is great for heavy towing and providing some extra power to get around on the street. This package will bring a healthy 7.3 up to the low 400HP range. The main problem with 7.3's is the lack of horsepower from the factory. These trucks had around 200HP stock making it very difficult while trying to tow 15k lbs and keep up with traffic. This package will allow any 7.3 to maintain the speed limit up and down mountains pulling trailers without dropping down to 25mph in the slow lane.
*L99-03 Tow Packages will receive the L99-03 KC300x G3 Stage 1 Turbo, E99 Tow Packages will receive the E99 KC300x G3 Stage 1 Turbo, and OBS Tow Packages will receive the OBS KC300x Stage 1 Turbo.
Recommended Upgrades:
- Upgrading your Up-Pipes
- Upgrading your EBPV Pedestal
- Fuel / Hpop upgrades depending condition of current parts.
Transmissions are usually safe unless previously hurt. Adding more power to a hurt transmission or motor will make it fail prematurely. Increasing the power output on your 7.3 may cause failure of already worn out parts on high mileage trucks. The best practice is to check the health of all systems on your truck prior to installation.

I’ll update this review once I’ve had more time with the product, but after a week of use, my truck isn’t running correctly. I haven’t had the chance to fully troubleshoot yet, so I can’t determine if the issue is related to one of the parts, another issue, or an installation error. Before the truck ran perfectly, just under powered like all 7.3, and now it pours black smoke, and has zero power.
On the positive side, KC Turbo customer service is top tier, and shipping was very fast!
I just recently purchased and installed the KC turbo tow package for the 7.3 and this was absolutely worth every cent! These guys knocked it out of the park when it comes to the power my 7.3 now has! It's everything they say it is and blew away my expectations. Usually when you purchase something your always left hoping for more but not with KC turbo! Highly recommend if your thinking about buying this kit to just do so you won't be disappointed! Great job guys!
I put this on my work truck . 367,000 miles
Once I got the tunes figured out and loaded it is impressive . The truck had a MBRP 4” exhaust and Banks intake on it before this with an old pre set tuner that was ok . The ability to adjust on the fly from “ a drive through mode “ to my + 50 hp light tow which I run daily or dial it up to my Hippie Killer and dump out coal if I want to is awesome.. I run 35” on 20 x10 and get 17 mpg with lumber racks - bull bumper on a 4” lift . We did have the adrenaline HPOP we put on go out after 15k ( never should happen )is the only negative thing I could say .
This transmission had been built with hd out put shaft etc not long before the upgrade . The trucks been rolled sin cr - rebuilt the front end etc and still rolling @ 418,000 ..
I highly recommend this kit . I also have another 7.3 with the street package which is great ill finally write a review on that as well!
This package is amazing on my 97 obs!! I havent been able to actually tow anything with is at the time of this review but I have no doubt that it will tow like a dream.
