Description:

Improve your 7.3 Powerstroke engine's performance with the KC300x Stage 2 63/73 Gen 2 Turbo. This turbo features a 4" ported housing with drilled anti-surge for better flow, a 63mm 7x7 SXE style compressor wheel with extended tip technology, and a 73mm SXE style turbine wheel. The KC300x is a reliable journal bearing drop in turbo perfect for increasing your 7.3 Powerstroke's performance.

This turbo will surprise you at how much it will wake up your 7.3! We have torture tested it for longevity, proven its capability on the dyno, and at the Race Track. For dedicated tow rigs and daily drivers, the .84 A/R Housing provides a quicker spool and cooler EGT's below 3000 RPMs.

**We Highly Recommend adding these products for best results:**

  1. Upgrading your Up-Pipes
  2. Upgrading EBPV Pedestal
  3. Running a Hydra Programming Chip

EXHAUST BRAKES:  We get asked a lot about exhaust brakes and if they work with our turbos, these will retain the OEM feature if the vehicles calibration allows and is setup for it. We have found that some brands have clearance issues and might cause the brake to hinder performance, rub the turbine wheel, or cause other issues.  These brakes typically use some sort of flapper to close which causes extreme exhaust back pressure to aide in braking.  This can be hard on a turbo and motor and is not recommended.

**Pictured is a polished cover, these turbos come sand cast unless specifically requested. You may get a polished unit depending on stock. You can add a polished cover for an additional $250. Two week lead time on all polished covers**

**Our turbos are designed to fit directly in 7.3 equipped pick-up trucks. Although our turbos can drop into 7.3 equipped Vans, you will need to modify the turbo intake boot and down-pipe for proper fitment**

my truck feels like it's brand new!

Early '99 F-250 7.3
Install of the stage 2 was straightforward and simple. Little bit of clearance issues with one of my fuel lines, and I did the ccv mod as suggested. The intake tube I feel needs a little more rise to it. I had to cut the bracket that the ccv bolts to in order to feel comfortable that I wouldn't have any rubbing. All in all a great product, and I love the whistle. Not too much, not too little. Great performance, my truck feels like it's brand new!

I didn't think I was really going to feel a difference between my old turbo and the kc turbo but man was I wrong has so much more get up and go I would highly recommend this if you still have a stock turbo runs so much nicer and sounds great

E99

Recently hade to replace a turbo for my e99 7.3 power stroke and decided to go with a kc stage 2. It got here decently fast for me being on the other side of the us from them. And I put it on the day it got here love the way the turbo looks and how it makes the truck sound and perform.

good match for stock injectors with hydra tunes

If you are considering this for your early 99 truck, then you know all the downsides of the stock turbo: weak, exhaust backpressure, surge, etc. I bought this 63/73 replacement turbo from KC after doing AIS intake, 4 inch turbo back exhaust, adrenaline HPOP, and hydra tuner. My plan was to drop in this turbo, then decide on which injectors I would order. Well, let me tell you my plans have changed. This turbo works so well, I am not going to do injectors. Truck has greatly increased power. Boost way up there, as it sets of my SES light for overboost detected all the time. Also, If you are debating between 63/68 and 63/73 on a stockish truck, do the larger turbo. Literally no downsides, and plenty of room to grow if you go larger on the injectors. I did a delete turbo pedestal, new CAC boots, riffraff bellowed up-pipes, and riffraff FRX fuel crossover at the same time. Truck is quieter than it has ever been. Turbo whistle is mellow with the AIS intake, but you can hear it. If I was doing it over again, I would do the exact same upgrades, so just add to cart and get going!
