I learned about this part from a review regarding the turbo rebuild kit for my truck. I agree that this should be included. I cleaned the crap out of the center part of the turbo and didn't realize this was a part that could be removed.. After I removed it, I found a considerable amount of carbo to remove.

It is probably a serviceable item, but mine was stuck on and I bent it trying to get the original off.
