Non-EBPV Turbo Pedestal
Features & Details:
- Pedestal includes 4 O-Rings.
- Also works with stock turbos.
Description:
Get rid of your EBPV (Exhaust Back Pressure Valve) with this Non-EBPV pedestal for the 7.3 Powerstroke (L99.5-03). This is a great addition when using the high flow outlet or a “gutted” stock outlet. This direct bolt-in replacement for the factory pedestal will eliminate leaks from the EBV actuator assembly and works with the factory turbo, KC300x & KC38r turbos, Garrett GTP38r style ball bearing turbos, and Turbonetics ball bearing “drop in” turbos.

Likely made overseas, would prefer if it was American made. Fit well & didn’t leak on startup. With the turbo outlet/EBPV delete housing & a set of turbo bolts, I still spent less than a reman OEM style pedestal (I took that route first & regretted it big time….yeah it leaked worse than the original).
Got this upgrade since my original one was leaking oil all over . Very simple to drop in. But a PAIN to get the old bands off the turbo. Other then that it’s great.
Previous owner had improperly reinstalled the turbocharger, and the ebpv was leaking so I went ahead and replaced it with the KC turbos pedestal, definitely noticed faster spooling and no more annoying EBPV leak. Mating surfaces looked nice and the pedestal seemed of good quality.
I purchased it in anticipation of the gen III 7.3 turbos. About 4 years ago I upgraded my stock turbo to a new balanced assembly. Upon seeing the teaser videos for the gen III 7.3 turbos I decided I’d get the backpressure delete pedestal on hand and do it and my bellowed up pipes whenever the gen III hits the market. I can’t wait!
Looks great and fitment was excellent
