Description:
The PureFlow AirDog II-5G Air/Fuel Separation System for your 2011-2016 Ford 6.7L Powerstroke is the next generation in the fuel delivery system, resulting in a long lasting, efficient and quiet lift pump. The compact AirDog II-5G provides the most effective technology designed specifically for diesel pickups to remove water, particulates, vapor and entrained air from diesel fuel, all while increasing power and performance. The design of the patented AirDog II-5G features many innovative improvements for increased pump performance, less noise and less maintenance. The AirDog II-5G utilizes an intermediate pump shaft that moves the electric motor away from the fuel. This eliminates any potential for wet motors due to a damaged or leaking seal. The motors self-aligning capability requires less maintenance and increases the systems endurance, resulting in a longer pump life. The low amperage motor also provides longer drivability and contributes to a significant reduction in noise. AirDog is proud to announce that the AirDog II-5G is the quietest fuel system in the diesel market! AirDog 5G Installation Instructions for 6.7 Powerstroke (2011-2016)Share
I installed this pump on a 2016 ford f250 6.7
The install was easy and hard. The electrical harness that comes with the kit worked great and was easy to install once I found the right key on fuse to use. When it came to the factory lift pump the quick connects were a pain to remove specially because they were corroded with dirt and grime I would suggest spraying penetration oil on the plastic clips to help with removal. Because I broke 2 clips on the return line I had to use the quick connects and hose that came with the air doge kit. Long story short the Y connector that comes with the kit does not work with the quick connects that come
With the kit both sides of the 3/8” on the Y pile leaked after clipped together several times double checking the yellow o rings were in place and not damaged. I had to use the hose and hose clamps to fix the return lines. I ended up replacing the suction line quick connects with the air dog quick connects also and those did not leak so not sure why the Y pipe connections leaked. Other than that issue the rest of the install Went great and pump works well. Just be careful with factory quick connects and save yourself a hour of extra work.
