If you are in need of a replacement turbo or simply want to upgrade your 2011-2014 to the newer style, then this turbo is the one for you!
F-Series pickup trucks from the 2015 and 2016 model year will need to have the pedestal conversion kit to install this turbo. (Select model year to see options or click the link above.)
*You will be responsible for any updated calibrations / tuning that may be needed.
EXHAUST BRAKES: We get asked a lot about exhaust brakes and if they work with our turbos, these will retain the OEM feature if the vehicles calibration allows and is setup for it. We have found that some brands have clearance issues and might cause the brake to hinder performance, rub the turbine wheel, or cause other issues. These brakes typically use some sort of flapper to close which causes extreme exhaust back pressure to aide in braking. This can be hard on a turbo and motor and is not recommended.
**These turbos are manufactured for the F250 and F350 trucks, will not fit F450 and F550 Cab & Chassis trucks. If you have a 2011-2014 model year 6.7 Powerstroke you will need a retrofit kit in order to install this turbo. If you have a 2015-2016 model year 6.7 Powerstroke you will need a pedestal conversion kit to install this turbo.

It’s been almost 8 months now since I replaced the turbo in my 2013 6.7. I decided to stick with a Ford turbo and although the kit with the Ford turbo was designed with a 2015 turbo the KC folks included the 2017 turbo and pedestal. I was lucky enough to have someone help me who had been through this before. I lost my truck for 4 days. During those 4 days I went through 3 cans of Kroil, not 1 bolt was broken. I have noticed the truck is quite a bit more responsive and there is a noticeable decrease in throttle lag. Over the past couple of days I got around to disassembling the old turbo. The bearings weren’t too bad. There was a little side to side movement of the turbo fan. I did find a leak where exhaust was getting into the cold side leaving some nice deposits. I also found a crack in the cast iron of the exhaust side. My truck had a little over 100k. Although expensive, time consuming and frankly a PIA, it’s well worth it. No way my 2013 turbo was making 200,000, may not have made 150,000. Do it.
