Description:
The KC Whistler Stage 2 is a direct drop-in turbo for the 2015-2019 Ford F250 and F350 6.7 Powerstroke trucks. It features our ported KC compressor cover, upgraded billet 64mm compressor wheel, and a larger 10 blade high flow turbine wheel, giving it that unique 2003 turbo whistle.
This turbo offers more flow compared to the stage 1 making it perfect for hot street and daily driving with occasional light towing. Trucks that are used for heavy towing should check out the KC Whistler Stage 1.
Stage 2 turbos will need a healthy CP4 or upgraded fueling system to reach its full potential.
EXHAUST BRAKES: We get asked a lot about exhaust brakes and if they work with our turbos, these will retain the OEM feature if the vehicles calibration allows and is setup for it. We have found that some brands have clearance issues and might cause the brake to hinder performance, rub the turbine wheel, or cause other issues. These brakes typically use some sort of flapper to close which causes extreme exhaust back pressure to aide in braking. This can be hard on a turbo and motor and is not recommended.

KC turbos has gone miles beyond the call of duty. We had issues with our truck and had just put in a KC turbo. We KNEW and admitted they in no way had done anything wrong, and the turbo was AMAZING, but they still stepped up to help us out. Reading data logs, trouble shooting over the phone, tuning, fueling, everything inside and out. Nothing had anything to do with the turbo they sold us. I've owned many aftermarket turbos in the Duramax world, and only 2 in the powerstroke world. If I could figure out how to always put a KC turbo on every truck I own, I'd do it without hesitation. These guys are the best, their turbos are the best, and their customer service is the best. This company is my #1 go to from here on out.
After finding shavings in my turbo, and having vgt issues with my stock turbo, I upgraded my turbo to the stage 2 whistler turbo. It sounds just like the 6.0 i never had but always wanted. Honestly one of my best purchases. Very happy with it.
I have a 2015 f350 and 2 years in on the kc 2. I already had gdp tunes on my ezlynk, when I called them and asked if they could send me a tune for the new turbo they said it would take a couple weeks. Nope, I wasn’t waiting, so I called proven and they got me rolling within 24 hours. Live and learn, their tunes were ok at best… about a year after install, and dealing with horrible fuel mileage,and over fueling issues. I went with ampd tunes and have been extremely happy with how the truck runs. Mileage went up from 12.5 with proven tunes to 16.5 with ampd tunes. It would have saved me a lot of aggravation had i knew this from the start. Long story short it’s a good turbo once you get the right tunes in the truck.
I have put about 40k miles on my stage 2 whistler. After doing my homework for weeks on what turbo to choose I picked the stage 2 whistler. I could not be more impressed with the performance. I did a high flow reman cp4, mpd full pipe kit, disaster prevention kit, 5” stainless exhaust and a cab relocation vent kit all at the same time when my emission parts magically fell off one day. With a custom tune and tcm tune , I could not be more pleased . I’m in a 2019 f-450 with a 6” lift on 37’s . Not only will this thing fly breaking just under 14’s in a 1/4, I can pull my 13,000 lbs camper without breaking a sweat or worrying about egt’s. I’m approaching 95k miles and about to do some 45% over stock injectors, 10mm stroker cp4 and an air dog. I think this will complete my build, put me over 800 horse and ready for another 300k plus miles. If you’re looking at KC for your turbo upgrade just stop here and buy it . Customer service has been great too.
