The kit itself is solid. The parts are beautifully sorted, but nothing in numbered to indicate what specific parts are for, which hose is which, etc. This is important info. You can call BPD and they will help, but "hose 3" should be labeled. Depending on the year of your vehicle, the hose length may not match the diagram.
The instructions state that "this is major surgery" and they are not kidding. I am an aircraft mechanic, well versed in reading schematics. There is nothing too difficult about the work, but if you are digging this deep you may as well knock out some of the other things while you are in there (STC fitting, Blue spring, etc). The instructions need to be updated and a video would go a long ways towards making this an easier process.
This CAN be done without removing the condenser, so no need to evacuate the refrigerant. It is MUCH easier if you remove the bumper (6 bolts). Plan on a 30 hr install (take your time, label things removed).
Good kit for what it is and this beats doing the same work to change an oil cooler that is bound to fail again. It is worth CALLING KC Turbos on the purchase as their website is unclear as to if you are selecting what your truck is or what you are ordering.
So I finally pulled the trigger on this purchase. The guys at KC Turbos were great working with me on this purchase as always!!! I have been stressed about my temps being border line and waiting for that wrench light to pop up. In the first few days of having this package installed my temps are 30* lower than my coolant temp. I had a buddy install it and he did a great job and a lot cheaper then the manufacturers install price. Very pleased with this item.
