Before heading out to the Weekend on the Edge event, we made a stop in Ogden, Utah, to visit the massive EDGE Products manufacturing facility. EDGE is the driving force behind brands like Superchips, DiabloSport, and Range Technology, so we were excited to get a closer look at how their operation comes together. We also brought along Eric Borgen’s freshly rebuilt 6.0L Power Stroke to see what kind of numbers our compound setup could put down on their dyno.
Jacob White from EDGE gave us the full tour. He walked us through their flexible production lines that can switch between different products on the fly, and even let us peek into their normally off-limits PCB room—where EDGE designs, builds, and tests their circuit boards completely in-house. Seeing that level of control and engineering made it clear why they can adapt so quickly during development. Their warehouse space is equally impressive, stocked with everything from raw components to finished tuners ready to ship. The facility’s three dynos—including a brand-new all-wheel-drive emissions cell—show just how seriously they take product validation and CARB compliance.
After the tour, it was time to put Eric Borgen’s rebuilt 6.0L to work. This truck has a history—Charlie Fish joked, “We went to NHRDA, called out Brandon Wood, lost, blew up the truck.” Now it’s back with a fresh KDD-built motor and an O’Dawg compound setup running our KC S3R over an S480, paired with big injectors and a Warren Diesel dual HPOP system. Our goal was simple: break into the 1,300-horsepower range.
The first passes delivered exactly what we were hoping for. On fuel alone, the truck laid down an impressive 1,370 horsepower. After hitting the initial target, we decided to spray it—and that single nitrous pull pushed the truck to 1,430 wheel horsepower and over 2,000 lb-ft of torque.
Overall, the visit was an awesome mix of cutting-edge engineering and raw diesel performance. Getting an inside look at the EDGE facility and then watching Eric’s 6.0L unleash serious power on their dyno made for a perfect start to our Weekend on the Edge trip.
