This is a 100% brand new bearing center section. This will work for any year 6.0 turbo. It is the updated dished style housing that helps keep the unison ring from sticking. This is great for those who want to rebuild their worn out turbo with a brand new bearing housing. Select either an Aftermarket or genuine housing. Both are great options!
**This is just the bearing housing, no vgt solenoid, no unison ring, no vanes, no wheels, etc**

Looks good
Ive written two reviews on Thoroughbred diesels website pertaining to this bearing housing. Along with a not so nice third review. They still havnt posted one of my reviews. Which is funny. So here I am.
Ive had my bearing housing for three years. In that time ive gotten 2 miles out of my truck chasing boost problems. When I recieved my bearing housing it looked to be good. But boy was I wrong. I rebuilt a stage one powermax with a 11 blade billet aluminum compressor, and a 9 blade turbine. Very easy to do. Installed my turbo and couldnt figure out for the life of me why I was having boost issues with new bearing housing and 360 rebuild. I started replacing things that had to do with the turbo. MAP, hose, ebp, etc. Couldnt figure it out. Checkrd for boost leaks etc. I had dumped alot of money into the truck and was tired. I let it sit for a while. Would go back to it here and there. Eventually pulled the turbo and rebuilt it a second time. Unfortunately it didnt change anything. I had an oil leak coming from the top of the engine valley so I thought that might have something to do with my issue, maybe i wasn't getting oil pressure to the turbo. I eventually pulled everything and did the oil cooler, I found that the oil bypass valve was bad. I pulled the hpop cover because they are known to leak, I resealed everything on the top end. So im like everything's new its gotta be fixed. I install everything and still have the same issues. I eventually replace whole wiring harness. Still nothing. I send it to a "master mechanic" at FTK diesel. He says all my readings are where they should be. I pay for a diagnoses and he give me a guess. He thinks the turbine is to small for the compressor wheel. 🙄 I take his professional opinion and kinda run with it even though i know better. I pull the turbo again. Notice my vgt is not fully seated. Well turns out my plunger was not calibrated from the factory correctly. Something I missed but shouldn't have had that problem to begin with. I shouldnt have to check the plunger. But im still learning that i have to look over other peoples work, even "master mechanics". I recalibrate the plunger and install turbo once again. Still having the same issue. After replacing everything with oem sensors. Brand new wiring harness from riff raff, Brand new dorman vgt solenoid. Everything you can think of and my vgt is stuck around 84%. Ebp is high. And ive narrowed it down to a bad bearing housing after all that. The veins should not be sticking. I know im well past my return date since I was trying to figure it out for three years and never suspected the brand new bearing housing. All i wanted was my review to be on display for anyone who wants to buy this bearing housing.
Please if you buy this bearing housing make sure your plunger is correct and there are no leaks. I spared no expense and still have to fix a problem that wasnt my fault to begin with. It really sucks. Dont be me. Make sure this bearing housing is 100% before installing. Buy directly from KC turbos. Do not get it from thouroghbred diesel as they dont offer the same return and warranty. And if you try to write a negative review they seem to want to hide those. I havnt asked for anything. Demanded anything. I just want my review to be seen. Hopefully this review makes it.
