If you want the KC fighter jet whistle then order a 2003, the 2003 will bolt on the 2004-2007 trucks but you will have to run 1 less bolt. The 2003 will spool slightly slower, make slightly more power, and have that famous Jet Whistle you are looking for.
If you want LESS WHISTLE then order the 2004-2007. This version will whistle less and build a little more boost at lower rpms, but will make a little less top end power. This version will not fit a 2003 turbo without extensive modification. Please contact us with questions.

My truck started having a P0299 code on my daily. Which is under/over-boost. They in fact helped me diagnose the problem with my truck to make sure that I knew exactly what the problem was before spending the money on a turbo. But I in fact did need a new turbo. They recommended this one because my truck was stock and now my truck has never run this well before. I love how my truck runs so thank you for all your help.
Ordered the KC stock plus billet garret for my 2004 6.0. I was not 100% certain on what I should go with but spoke with Alex and he helped me decide on the garret billet stock plus. The truck is a hauling and snow plow rig, lots of idling in the winter and hard pulling a gooseneck in the summer. So far so good, the new turbo woke the truck back up and returned better than new performance. Shipping was excellent and prompt and I will be doing business with KC and Alex again in the near future for my 2001 7.3.
Can't go wrong with this replacement unit! The sound is amazing and smoother power than the stock turbo. The help when calling was awesome, the guy helped me choose the right turbo for my needs and explained to me it was also recommended to change the oil feed and drain lines while I was in there. Big thanks to KC for all of the help and information and also for producing a super nice piece!!!
I decided to replace my stock turbo while doing other 6.0 related items, like oil and egr cooler. I was also getting the underboost CEL at startup with my original turbo which had 250k miles. The turbo arrived quickly and well packaged. Turbo dropped in without issue and is running good. I opted for the 13 blade turbo and the whistle is barely noticeable. I am happy with my purchase.
