Description:
This is our new go to KC Turbo's DIY stock turbo upgrade. This has surpassed our old DIY kit. This is a combination package that is going to come completely balanced by us and assembled. This is ideal for stock 7.3 trucks that are running complete stock turbos and looking for an updated design. This features both our billet compressor wheel and updated SXE turbine wheel design.

Bought the 7.3 balanced assembly for a 2000 7-3 excursion with 250k on the clock. This was the first rebuild on the original turbo. Truck has a hydra tuner on it running there tunes. The ex also has a rebuilt tranny with a triple disk converter and a modified valve body along with a host of other upgrades done to the tranny during the rebuild. During the turbo rebuild I also installed new up pipes a cold air intake and a 4”exhaust. The excursion is all stock otherwise. Truck would struggle making 16 pounds of boost on the 60hp daily drive tune before this was all done. After all work was completed the truck now build 32 psi on the same setting and is able to built 10 psi at 1400 rpm. This is a total game changer as this excursion is used to tow a 9k pound travel trailer all over Pa,Ohio,West Virginia and New York. It pulls the hills with ease on a 25 hp tow tune now. Anyone that is not looking to make a street strip truck and is just looking for a more efficient and quicker spooling turbo that does not want to replace a turbo this is a great up grade. We use the excursion mainly as a tow vehicle with a little bit of daily driving. I thought the tuner woke the excursion up. This upgrade mated with the others listed above is just another step again more. Truly amazing and extremely happy with the out come.

The balanced assembly for the 7.3 powerstroke truly is better than oem brand new. The low rpm boost levels are amazing. It drastically increased my fuel economy and gave my truck that extra low end boost that it needed to get up to speed faster without using so much fuel to get there. It truly is a must have for anyone with a 7.3 looking to increase the performance of their truck without buying an entirely new turbo.
I didn't really know what to expect with this balanced assembly. But man am I impressed, my truck now drives and runs better than it EVER has before. I'm extremely impressed with the low psi boost levels.
